PLS Airport Upgrade Plan The Turks and Caicos Islands Government plans to invest up to $30 million in upgrades at Howard Hamilton International Airport, including a new 30,000–40,000 sq ft arrivals hall. Infrastructure Minister Arlington Musgrove said the project is part of a phased, cost-effective approach, replacing earlier plans for a $400–$500 million large-scale terminal. The new arrivals facility will separate incoming and departing passengers to reduce congestion, while the existing terminal will be converted into a departures-only area with interior and aesthetic improvements. Additional works include expanding the aircraft apron, building a parallel taxiway, and extending air-side capacity to handle more and larger planes. Read more
